Valentines' Day Kazak Style
What a great day with a cheery baby. Ryan was in a great mood and we had a ton of fun playing, babbling and a sort of two pace crawl. That's right Ryan made it at least a foot towards his Winnie the Pooh teething ring. He is turning over and starting to sit up on his own. He'll be taking off in no time.
We buttered up the ladies at the Babyhouse by bringing two dozen long stem roses as thank yous for such great care for these kids. To reciprocate we were allowed to watch the massage therapist go to work on Ryan. Wow, what a work out! He was worked up oneside and down the other. They pay special attention to the babies hands - it seems it promotes speech espcially when massaging the fourth finger. It must of worked because Ryan was very talkative today. This is a great sign for a child in an orphanage setting. Usually they don't verbalize much, Ryan certainly has cooing, purring and laughing down.
We have included a picture of the babyhouse so you all can see where Ryan has taken up residence. There are five "groups" at the house. Each group has 6-8 kids arranged by age with 2-3 caregivers with a pediatrician, massage therapist, music teacher and assorted other assistants floating in and out of each group.
Andy, we have been investigating any potential issues that may arise (paternity) and are showing your picture around. The response is always the same, oh, what a beautiful baby --
must be the hair.
Congrats to Ryans' cousin Riley who has taken her first steps. Ryan can't wait to get home to get some dancin' lessons.
Happy Valentines' Day from Kaz, paka, paka.
